The Last Stubborn Refuge

An article by Sahil Raina -

Today’s world is full of obstacles and crossroads in life and as we face these challenges in life, we need something special to hold onto until we reach the destination. Whenever we have problems in life, we use our knowledge and experience to solve it but when they are not effective, we fall onto the shoulders of our belief, the last refuge.

Belief is the most powerful tool in this world. If we do not have the belief to do a task, then we won’t have the strength to complete it. And so, there are different types of individualistic beliefs that everyone has. Some belief in themselves while others belief in God. What we believe is what shapes our lives. Thus, we must not lose belief in even the worse situations as howmuchever things might be messed up in life, there will always be a chance of a better tomorrow.

However, beliefs and ideologies and morals can be too stubborn and stale. These beliefs must change with time or else we will perish. For instance, believing in witch-hunt in a 21st century world would be as decaying as that of a scavenged body. We all must hold onto our belief but we must have the room to challenge it. Therefore, we all must be open-minded and willing to listen to other beliefs as if we don’t change our ideological and moral beliefs over time, we will be outcasted from society.

Hence, our belief should be cherished as the drinking water until it is contaminated. We must not lose the belief of hope in life but we must evolve our moral and ideological beliefs in time as Einstein once said that a person is insane if he/she do the same thing everyday but expect different results.
